Randy Hoover has been teaching 7th-grade world geography at Dover-Sherborn Middle School for the last 11 years. Taking advantage of summers to explore other cultures, he has traveled to 31 countries and 49 states. Some of the organizations sponsoring his travel include the Earthwatch Institute (Brazil, Kenya), National Geographic Society (United Kingdom), Fulbright Memorial Fund (Japan), East-West Center (Thailand/Cambodia). In 2004, he accompanied 3 DSHS students to China as part of the district’s China Exchange Program.

Mr. Hoover is a National Board Certified Teacher, and a National Geographic Society Teacher Consultant. A native of California, his interests include photography, tennis, learning Chinese, and playing saxophone in local jazz and R & B bands.
